This dollhouse is a wonderful example of the kinds of play sets that were mass-produced in American factories in the middle 20th Century. The National Can Company produced this model in the late 40s.
There is some rust in the interior of the house, the worst of which is in the kitchen floor. The finish on the roof has some hazing. Examine the pictures to see the nice condition of the interior lithography, especially in the living room.
There are five missing assembly tabs, one from the peak of the roof where the two sections join. All the others are from wall sections. The downstairs interior wall is missing all tabs joining it to the upper floor. There are simple brass brads in use and work quite well in maintaining the stability of the house.
A previous owner had applied something above the windows in the nursery and bathroom. Whatever it was damaged the litho right above those windows, and can be seen in the pictures.
The furniture we included is all 3/4" scale. Most of the pieces are made by Plasco, many Marx pieces as well. There are some pieces of MPC in the nursery. The 'linen cupboard" in the bathroom is unmarked.
We will ship this dollhouse assembled as seen in the photos. Disassembling causes too much wear on the tabs, and when the house is
reassembled more tabs will likely break off.
